As We Get Older, We Risk Spending Less Time With Our Horses
It is often the case that many horse lovers who are in a close relationship with their horse(s) can become concerned that they may not be able to sustain their mutually beneficial relationship with their equine friends because they are experiencing health issues as the years roll by. These issues could be mechanical symptoms like knee pain which comes and goes, or something more concerning such as symptoms coming from deeper within their body. They may even have a specific medical diagnosis.
The horse lover truly wants to continue doing what they love to do with their horses, yet because they may not be feeling as good as they used to feel, they may start to lose some confidence and perhaps spend less time achieving their horse-related goals and dreams. Sometimes, the horse lover is a much younger person who also is just not feeling their best.
At BWC For Horse Lovers, Cate understands what it means to want to keep doing what you love to do with your horses. Cate knows that one of the best ways to keep your horse goals and dreams moving forward into reality is to have the healthiest body, mind, and spirit possible.
And, we know that functional medicine is often one of the best choices for unravelling a health challenge, and for optimizing a person’s long-term health.
What is Functional Medicine and What Do We Offer?
Functional medicine is a very personalized stepwise approach toward health optimization. It honors the uniqueness of every person and puts great emphasis on the distinctive nature of that person’s life. It uses evidence-based medicine to uncover the underlying reasons for why a person may be experiencing a health challenge. Together, the person who is seeking help for their health concerns and the provider enter into a therapeutic partnership where they work as a team to help the person reach their own health-optimization goals.
Functional medicine is one of the most important types of medicine a person could ever find (for non-acute situations). Why? Because it strives to understand and uncover the true nature of a person’s health challenge. It empowers the person because it educates them to a fuller understanding of what is going on with their health and gives them a clear pathway for healing and awakening their own natural healing processes.
BWC For Horse Lovers helps people in a stepwise manner. First, you may choose to have a Discovery Phone Call after which you may opt for a Foundational Assessment. After completing the Foundational Assessment you then have the option to join our Membership program where your long term health goals are focused on.
Cate is also devoted to helping people who are experiencing cognitive decline. She is a trained ReCODE Certified 2.0 Practitioner. Her own mother died of Alzheimer's Disease when largely there was little hope as to how to help such a condition. But, now through the work of Dr. Dale Bredesen, we have a much greater understanding of how to prevent and reverse cognitive decline. So, Cate is truly interested in helping bring hope and empowerment to anyone who is struggling with this challenge, or who would like to prevent cognitive decline.
In addition, Cate has become certified in Advanced Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy through WorldLink Medical. Ensuring that our hormone levels are optimized as we age is one of the key pillars to healthy ageing. She has personally experienced the value of bioidentical hormone optimization and loves to help other people have this benefit as well.
